NASDME 2023 - Using Data to Deliver Highly Relevant Services: California’s Implementation of Individual Needs Assessments and Learning Plans for all Migratory Children

Participants of this session learned about California’s requirements around Individual Needs Assessments/ Individual Learning Plans (INAs/ILPs), became familiar with the INA/ILP form content and how it was developed, and learned how the statewide electronic INA/ILP was implemented in California’s migratory child data system, MSIN. They also learned how INA/ILP data helps regional subgrantees deliver services that are matched to each child’s specific needs and is consolidated in Measurable Program Objective reports that help regional subgrantees meet state goals. Presenters also reviewed the benefits of these features for migratory children and the Migrant Education Program (MEP).

This presentation was given at the NASDME 2023 conference on May 2, 2023.
